How To Make Money Year-Round Trading Like a Business
10/29/2024
Hey Trader,
As we mentioned last week, the market runs on cycles, constantly rotating through sectors.
One week, banks might steal the spotlight, next up it's retail, and then energy takes a turn. Instead of overcomplicating it with sector predictions or playing the "stock du jour" game, we keep it sharp and straightforward with our trusted trading strategies.
Earnings season can feel like a stock-sucking vacuum, drawing all the attention to the companies reporting that week and leaving everything else swept aside.
So, if you're holding longer-dated options or stocks that seem primed to break out, don’t be surprised if they suddenly slow down. When the market’s spotlight is locked on a handful of names, that ticking clock on your positions isn’t doing you any favors!
As you know, Mark and I are all about earnings trades—specifically, our Aftermath trades, designed to make the most of post-earnings setups.
But these trades take a bit of time to percolate, so we stick to a strict set of guidelines before jumping in. While other stocks sit around like a bump on a log, and our Aftermath trades are brewing, we’re still out here trading like savages.
So, how do we keep the money flowing?
That’s where our other strategies come in. We keep the momentum going with several other trades—Bombshells, Fuses, and one of my personal favorites: Overnights.
We plan out our Trade to Close service to make money for members similar to a business. This "money churn" mindset is essential and that’s why we offer a handful of reliable trades. Even Spirit Halloween finds clever ways to stay profitable year-round!
Now, about those Overnights—we call them “tooth fairy trades.” They’re perfect for those who love a good swing trade.
After the market closes, we place an overnight position, betting on whether the market will be up or down the next day. Set it, forget it, and let it work its magic overnight. Yep, these trades can be placed until 4:15 pm ET and we close them out the next day!
Right now, I’m bullish heading into earnings, but I’m keeping things nimble in the short term.
Just last night, I called a down day today, so Mark and I entered a put trade—and it’s paying off beautifully.
It’s all about staying on the right side of the market at all times and keeping cash moving.
