A little slice of my week in the South of France

No charts today, my friends.

I took a real day this week, the kind where the phone goes in the bag and stays there, and I want to share a little of it with you before the long weekend.

We had lunch under the olive trees. Actual olive trees, the gnarled old ones, with the light coming through the leaves.

And then the food came out, and honey, I have to confess something. They brought a caramelized onion pizza covered in anchovies, and I am not an anchovy person. Or I was not an anchovy person.

Because I ate the whole thing and now here I am, a changed woman.

After that we trekked up to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, which, in my humble opinion, is one of the most beautiful medieval towns on the planet.

Stone streets that have been there for centuries, the whole village sitting up on a hill looking out over the Provence countryside.

And the bougainvillea.

My friends, the bougainvillea was exploding. Whole walls of it, this insane hot pink spilling over the old stone. I could not stop staring. So pretty I almost forgot what day it was.

Anyway. I will be back at the close with you soon, charts and all. But first, a heads up.

Tomorrow is Juneteenth, and the market is closed in the States.

So you get a Friday off and a nice long weekend, and I want you to actually take it.

Step away from the screens, go find your own olive trees, eat the thing you swore you would never eat.

Rest up. We go fresh on Monday.

Rock On,

Voz

P.S. If you want to come along for the rest of the trip, I have been posting it all to my Instagram stories, the food, the flowers, the ridiculous views, all of it. Come follow the adventure with me over here.
