When Investors Get Scared, Traders Feast
- Olivia Voz
The QQQ is up about 15% year-to-date.
I made that this morning in 2 minutes trading QQQ options, and before you tell me that's not apples to apples, I know, that's the point.
If you own the Qs, you woke up today a little shook.
Over the weekend the guys running Anthropic and OpenAI came out and said the whole AI industry needs to slow down for safety, Musk agreed with them, and Sam Altman said OpenAI isn't going public this year, so the market did what it always does with that kind of headline, which is sell first and ask questions later.
All of the AI stocks took a hit…
If you're sitting on an AI-heavy portfolio, you were red before you finished your coffee, and I know exactly what that feels like because
I've got an investment account too and nobody likes opening it on a morning like this.
The worst part isn't even the number. It's that when you're staring at that much red, the last thing on your mind is opportunity.
You're just thinking please let the bleeding stop.
But listen, my morning looked completely different, and it's not because I'm smarter than you or I saw the essay coming. It's because
I mostly settle in cash by the end of the day. I don't carry much overnight. So I didn't wake up afraid to look at my trading account, I sat down at 9:30 with fresh eyes, and the same headline that had everybody else frozen was just a setup to me. Two minutes later I was out.
Here's my last few QQQ trades so you can see it's not a one-off:

I'm not telling you to dump your portfolio, I have one, I get it. What I'm telling you is that a lot of folks think the portfolio is the whole game, and it's not, because a trading account with a real system does the one thing the portfolio can't, which is make money on the days the portfolio is losing it.
I have that system in the Qs, and I want to give it to you.
Join Game Plan QQQ today and my team will reach out to put a $250 credit on your account, good toward anything at Option Pit.
The Fed decides Wednesday, and this market's going to get louder from here, and every time it does, investors get cautious and traders get paid.
Rock On,
Voz
P.S. One good morning isn't a system, I know. Since November my Q trades have closed green 44 out of 50 times. Wednesday's Fed decision is the next one.
