This is worse than I thought.

I said it this morning at 8 AM. This is worse than I thought.

Not because of the headlines. Not because of Iran or the Strait of Hormuz or whatever Trump said last night. Because of what the chart is telling me.

Traders always show their hand before they act. Right now they are showing me a descending channel. A nasty one. Every bounce gets sold. Every rally finds a lower high. That is not panic. That is a trend.

This morning the S&P was down nearly 1%. The Nasdaq down 1.4%. The Dow briefly hit correction territory, meaning it is now more than 10% off its recent high.

That is five straight weeks of losses. They are not confused. They are selling.

Here is what most people are missing right now.

If things do not change by the close, a Friday selloff with Iran risk still live going into a weekend is not just a bad day. It is a setup.

Retail traders hold through the weekend, read the headlines, convince themselves things are getting worse, and sell Monday morning. That is how capitulation works. You do not get the bottom on a Friday. You get it Monday when everyone gives up at the same time.

I have been watching real estate in Florida for years. It is one of the first places you see recession pressure before the data confirms it.

What I am seeing there right now is not a slowdown. It is a freeze. Buyers are gone. That does not show up in the S&P for months. But the chart is already pricing it in.

What the chart is telling me right now.

Look at the SPY. The channel is clear. Two parallel trendlines sloping lower.

Former support at 665 is now resistance. The heavy supply overhead tells you sellers are still in control. The Voz 40, my moving average, is curling down hard. Price is below everything that matters.

People are not reading this. They are feeling it. Fear at the open, hope at the bounce, fear again at the close. That cycle repeats until it does not.

Until Monday when it breaks.

Here is what that means for how you trade.

This is not a market where you hold overnight and hope. Hope is not a trade. Overnight risk right now means Iran tweets, futures gap down, and you wake up down before you can do anything about it.

The way I am trading this is at the open and at the close. Define the zone before the session starts. Enter the zone, buy the zone, sell the zone. No overnight exposure. No hoping the news cooperates.

If the market opens Monday and holds, the crowd is stronger than I think and the thesis changes. But I am not betting on that this weekend.

Rock On, Voz

P.S. The fact that this selloff is happening on a Friday tells me Monday is going to be ugly. Traders will spend the weekend reading headlines and convincing themselves it is over. It is not over. Be ready.
